INTERESTED IN CLASSES ?

August9

Here at Thienemans our classes have really taken off over the past few years and we are definitely excited about that.  We’ve come to think of ourselves as a garden center who can not only provide you with great plants, but who can offer you education and entertainment through classes and lectures.

Our most popular classes are ‘Sowing Seeds and Taking Cuttings’ which we offer in February, ‘Hypertufa Troughs’ which we offer throughout the summer, and ‘Tabletop Christmas Trees’ which we offer in November.  The range of classes we offer changes season to season and year to year.  From time to time we bring in plant enthusiasts and artists outside of our staff.  Other classes we’ve been know to offer include Planning an Herb Garden, Color in your Perennial Garden, Four Seasons of Interest, Cooking with Herbs, Colorful Mixed Containers, Water Gardening, Stepping Stones, Concrete Leaf Forms, Handmade Journals, Holiday Topiaries, Greenery Wreaths,  and Holiday Gifts and Potpourris.

Please, if you are interested in a class we have not yet offered, let us know and we’ll see if we can bring that to you. We are also able to schedule a class specifically for your garden club or you and your friends.  Check back here or give us a call to see what classes we have upcoming.  You can print a registration form (link below) and mail or fax it in or call and register over the phone.

Thieneman’s Greenhaus is a family owned and operated garden center, located in beautiful Coxs Creek, KY.
Two years ago we took a leap of faith and decided to relocate our garden center after the family farm sold.
We found a picturesque 10 acre farm just south of Mt Washington and we started settling in. After not quite 2 years now, we still feel like we’re moving in. But we thankfully didn’t have to skip a season.
We had a great first year, and it looks like we’ll have a great second year. We are extremely thankful our loyal customers followed us, and a bunch of new people have found us too.
We have been specializing in herbs and perennials for almost 60 years. Our herb collection is probably the largest in the area. For 15 years now we have grown a large variety of heirloom tomatoes, peppers and veggies. And we have a great love for succulents as well, our collection is ever growing. Our goal is to be your favorite local garden center known for unusual and hard to find plants. We love our plants!!
